AVSL Round 2 Wrap 2024-25
Aayan
What a nice sunny day. A lovely contrast to round 1’s weather. The athletes and officials were treated to cake to celebrate Brenda’s birthday. Thank-you Janice and Mal for the cake.
We ended the round in 6th place with a score of 24 381 points, ahead of WEN by just 191 points. This is why every athlete’s points are important to our overall position and how bonus points from relays can make a difference.
This rounds Premier Division ladder was DIV, EAG , GHY , ESS, MEN, WES, BOH, SBE and CHI.
A very warm welcome to Thomas Pinto, Aiden McDonald and Ayaan Ahmed for their first round of AVSL. Wonderful to see Jeeva Vijayagopal back after battling injury over the past couple of seasons.
In all we had 38 scoring athletes and they completed a total of 77 scoring events.
This round we had 13 athletes do three or more scoring events, 13 athletes completed two scoring events and 12 completed one scoring event.
Thank-you to the following athletes who completed three individual scoring events: Tahnee H, Charli B, Amy G, Cheryl N, Tracy C, Janice H, Brenda C, Jacob B-M, Ryder D, John P, Alan B, Wayne B and Stan P.

Club Helpers
Thanks to Mal who helped me lap score the walk and assisted Red Zone with the relays.
We have 2 Club helper 5pm timeslots to fill at Keilor for long jump. We will need to have a lap scorer if any of our athletes do the 5km Walk as I will be moving and adjusting hurdles at that time.
