AVSL Round 8 Wrap

AVSL was at Aberfeldie, our second twilight competition this season and conditions were very hot. We finished the day in 4th place on 21 636 points, behind Wyndham T&F, South Bendigo and Bendigo Harriers. Again, we were missing athletes due to injury, iso and sickness, so well done to all who participated and a speedy recovery to those who are injured or sick. On provisional results, after six rounds, we are on top of the Division 2 Ladder with 80 points, from Bendigo Harriers 72 pts, South Bendigo on 59 pts, Sandringham on 54 pts, KSB on 53 pts, Ballarat Harriers 49 pts, Wyndham 48 pts, Mornington 43 pts, Eureka 24 pts and Ringwood on 9 pts.

In our Division, Wyndham T&F, KSB, Eureka and Ringwood are still to play their Power Play, so theoretically they all have a chance to add an extra 10 pts to their current score.

Congratulations to our U20 Men and U16 women who came 3rd and 5th respectively in the State Age Group Scores.

We had 36 athletes line up for the day, with 10 athletes competing in 3 events and 8 athletes in 2 individual scoring events. Thanks to Alan, Ben H, Isabella, Janice, Liz, Emily, Sarah, Ruth, Stan and Jeeva for competing in 3 or more individual events and Kaelan, Emerson, Mal, Xander, Jacob, Tom, Summer & Bol for competing in 2 individual scoring events.
